Just wanna see if anyone has done any comparison that can be shared...before and after tinting...as I can't seem to find any comparison made in this forum. My friend bought a thermometer and placed it in his E39 cabin to measure the interior cabin temperature when he parks his car under hot sun for an hour during lunch time. Normal thermometer off the shelf, few ringgit. Before tinting - it showed an average of about 48-52 degree celcius after about an hour under afternoon sun. After tinting - it showed an average of about 36-38 degree celcius after about an hour under afternoon sun.Tinting of his choice - 3M Crystalline 60 all round which includes front windscreen.Cost - Rm1,800Anyone done any comparison that can be shared so we know from experience we can rate ourselves the respective tinting brands versus cost and see what is the best value for money?Thank you

From my experience with Puspakom, any front tinting guarantee failed. I have faced 2 occasions whereby I have to tear front V-kool tinting myself. For the record, Puspakom's requirement is 85% light penetration.

Anyway, no scientific experiments, but from what I can feel, with v-kool, the glaring from the sun and also reflection from the sun is greatly reduced compared to no tinting at all.

Hi Jaleeks23, Can you let me know where to do this 3M tinting. I'm interested on tinting my car but also need to know if the shop is specialised in handling BMW cars?

I did mine (windscreen only) near the jln ipoh public bank...they are OK....my friend did it in tmn megah...not sure of the shop's name...

I paid 1.5K for my E39 - 3M Cry 60 - at Bt Caves

But i am not using it for the front screen - Smart Tag issue and i don't want to cut a small hole for the tag. I m using a lower spec 3M for the front screen. Still got problem a bit laa ..

I am using Uber Optics 70% with V-cook in front. Drove my neighbour's toyota Innova with ECOTINT feels cooler than my V cool on my front windscreen.

i receive feedbacks from a number of vkool users and they are not happy with the vkool 70....

feisal, ya on the prowl catching tinting, i wonder why suddenly....and i notice more frequent speed traps these days too and they don't stop you, they just snap snap ur car and send to you...

Vkool is the best.. Try Vkool Elite, no regret.

Contact Tekno Tint - 012-514 5370. Provide door to door services.
RM950 for whole car (sedan). No hidden cost.

RM950 for whole vkool?... i'm interested also.. my current tinted not seem to be good... especially for the windscreen...

Hi,

I am using Huper Optik for both of my cars. This brand also have the security range. It costs about RM2k in Penang. Very satisfied with it! Did self test using only my transition lenses within my car. My glasses did not change its colour at all. Also comes with guarantee no issue with JPJ roadblocks (although I don't think any tint can pass Puspakom's inspection).

Cheers,
Neoh

My neighbour's Toyota Innova is on ECOTINT I have been driving the Innova forthe past 1 week feelscooler than Vkool. Vkool Sucks i have it on the front of my Beemer and the sides and backis on uber optics. uber optics are good. Now that i have experience Ecotint I feel that Vkool sucks on my car. Feel like ripping it off and going for ecotint on my front windscreen

Nowadays we shud be careful with fake film. Sometimes we dont know if they are genuine or not.
Many shop nowadays claim that they have Vkool, but actually not. Go to authorized shop only, they
have tester.

E*otint also use OEM brand which is used by several type of famous tint brand in Malaysia. They just
rebadge the film.

Whatever, the choice is yours.
