I think this is self mod. The grill is missing. BMW would not drop this kidney grill. It is their trademark.

Got grill lah.. It's hidden under the camouflage mesh...
can see a faint outline of the 'divider' and it looks like 2 big nostril....

azam...the pictures from astroboy is the heavily disguised F10 during the development stage...so no design cue can be recognize during the design period...

one hint is the side mirrors...
