check engine fan 1st... if problem still there.. try check water pump.. it happen to me b4 with my E34.. my water pump blade was defected... hope u manage to solve the problem..

Bro - try check whether your fan works with and without your AC turn-on. The fan normally has two speed, with the AC turn on the fan normally operates at the higher speed whereby without the AC it is at the lower speed - depending on your system temperature. If the fan refuses to turn on without the AC, ask your mechanic to check your fan switch/sensor attached at the back of your fan box. If it went kaput, a good mechanic can find it from either chop shop or spare parts shop. Price RM150-200. Cheers!

It might be the clutch fan, sometimes called the engine fan if ur car is not using electrical fan. The fan is turning but lost the vicious function. U can stop the fan with your bare hand. Changing that is ard 90sgd in SG. All the best.

1) Check your fan clutch ( used 180-250, new dunno)
2) Check your thermoststat ( new 105, used dunno )
3) Check fan fan sensor ( new 100, used dunno)

If you need a used fan clutch+ blade, i got one taken out from my car, since I converted to Electric fan.

If you need a used thermostat i got one too, as i bought a new one and installed it thinking my thermostat kaput, but later found out it was the Fan switch. It comes complete with thermostat and housing.

Hi Bro,

Can i have your Hp No? I be in KL next week. Thinking to get the used thermostat.

Thanks
Kelvin

Could simply be needing to bleed your cooling system as there maybe air bubbles. When your AC is on, the aux fan is turned on, hence blowing cool air at your radiator. Before throwing money into this problem, bleed it first.

If you want to check your fan clutch, a defective fan clutch will not have much grip when the engine is running. You can easily grab it and stop the fan.... of course wear a glove when you grab it.
