i have several issues and i would like to share .im going to do a maintenance for my e34 suspension system since bila dia jalan kt bumpy road keta aku jd goyang mcm sampan . of coz absorber and spring kne tuka kot? . but other than that whatelse shud i consider to change? bush,ar, or anything? i never make any change since i dpt keta tu .

do the rebound test on all 4 corners.generally the car shud settle down after two strokes ie. up/ down/settle.also check for leaks.if the chrome rod is wet,the dampers are gone.if the absorbers require change,also replace the mounting bushes as well.d springs can be reused if they have not rusted or broken.
apart from the dampers there are many other bushes that can wear :
1. thrust arm bush
2. track rod bush
3. rear subrame bush
in extreme cases your trailing arm bush can also wear.the e34 has got many bushes that's why it rides sweet.itu belum e39 lagi.....lagi banyak bush ans ball joints....

google the component description if you are not familiar..........

replace worn out shocks with bilstein B8 if you're on lowered springs, otherwise B6.

ooww mcm tu yea .. ok moot n mizhan, thnks well i'll check those stuffs at bengkel later. by the way, sume barang2 tu still ada jual lg or da discontinued ? i think absorber n spring ada la jual kott.
n nak dptkan lg satu opinion about 2nd hand stuffs from kedai potong . nampak mcm cantekkk je ada sape2 experienced 2nd hand absorber or spring?

Typically you shouldn't be looking at 2nd hand absorbers.....unless they can be rebuilt.
