ACS strut bar cannot be fitted in my E46 323i. The bolts does not seem to be aligned and off by a few mm. According the mechanic, it could be some damage to the chasis, but i doubt so.Anyone had similar experience before?

damage or slightly deformed strut towers are not uncommon with our holey roads. u can always test fit on another E46 to see if it'll fit...

TQ for the quick response. This site is amazing.

I've few other questions as well....

1)Is jacking up the car the correct method to install the strut bar?
2)Will this affect the camber and alignment?
3)If it is damaged/deformed strut tower, will i still be able to repair it and fit the strut bar?

Jacking up the car to install the strut bar is one of the ways they used to install the strut bars. But I don't think the e46's relatively new chassis required that..
AFAIK, it wouldn't affect the camber and alignment, maybe just marginal.
Damaged / deformed strut towers can be repaired.. Since u didn't notice any significant damage to it, I'm assuming it could be just minor...

Maybe you can come by for TT andwe can see see what's wrong it.. Can help u fit it if I think can be done...
