:cry: hi all sifu pls give ma so advice how much the stater cost of 318i e36? my machanic told me about RM1.5K so expensive? have other member change it b4 can share some experience?thx & regard .

the rm1.5 k is new 1 loh..so exp. now i look 4 chop shop only rm300.

i got mine for RM1K. brand new, ori. for the E36 325 1994 model.
labor excluded but still much less than RM1.5K.

A lot of work required to change the starter so the cost quoted may include labor. do check.

Used starters are usually a couple of hundered bucks..

Labour though is expensive.. I've gotten my hands dirty at the workshop changing starter and dropping the gearbox for my car.. It ain't easy money....
