A sprint booster is just a device that alters the digital signal from the accelerator to the ECM in drive-by-wire cars to give you a more sensitive throttle. It doesn't change the power or torque of the car.
Some like it, some don't. In an auto, it may cause unintended kick-downs and so give a jerky ride. To me, if you want a quicker throttle response, just make your accelerator foot more active
