Spotify on E90 LCI

I recently got into the SPOTIFY hype and upgraded myself to premium. Currently using iphone5, planning to replace with a samsung s7

So anyway, my e90 lci idrive do not have BMW connected apps hence i think no option of bluetooth music streaming. the bluetooth can be used solely for calls purposes (sometime waze will make its direction announcements via bluetooth onto my bmw speakers if connected).

I guess the only way now is to upgrade my iDrive software version right? Is that possible? i do not want to use spotify via the audio AUX cable if possible. best if everything is done via bluetooth music streaming.

Please advise !

Hi bro,

Yes it is possible. I am using it to stream from my phone now.

Within your CD\Multimedia option, select External devices and you shall see your phone listed there. The Bluetooth audio steaming will be activated when you select your phone.

So what I did was, i enabled bluetooth on my phone. then i did a test phone call from the car bluetooth, it worked.
then i go to Extenal devices i only see USB and AUX saja. no bluetooth.

anywhere i done wrongly?
