bros...any advise on the things i have to do/service on my car before this long drive apart from oil change...mileage now almost 110k and so far only change water pump nia on the engine consumables...

yesterday in singapore just bought some parts like v-belt, tensioner, pulley, coolant top and bottom hoses, temp sensor, rear brake pads and disc....dunno wan to fit it in for the drive or just drive the current ones until kong...lol

bro, do the essential checks like tires, A/C gas, brake pads, coolant condition, fuel hoses, vacuum hoses....i.e those things that can stop you in your tracks.

U take quite good care of your car,so I don't see you having much issues. Bring the laser temp reader ok?

Things that you should do to your car before this trip.
1.Service your car. Like change engine oil,transmission oil and axle oil. Do this if your car service almost due. Reason this drive total km will be almost 1500km.
2.Make sure all your cooling hoses are in good condition, also your fuel hose as well.
3.Tyre must be in good condition. Make sure also that your spare tyre is in good condition.
4.Check also your front and rear brake pads condition, your brake hose as well.
5.Check also all your suspension, mountings.

* Good news Thai Tourism has agree to give us dinner at hatyai on the 7.6.2009. There will also Thai police escort from the Thai check point to the hotel. Hope more good news to come.There will also be small briefing on 3.6.2009. Venue will be advise. There will also free ribena for this drive. A big thank you to jerman.

Ok guys make sure all is ok with your car and your self because this weekend we will be in Thailand. Just to share some good news. Day 1:Friday 5.6.2009
1.12.30-2.00am:Meet up at Auto Bavaria Gleanmarie for flag off. Got makan before the flag off.
2. 2.30am: Depart for Hatyai
3. 4.45-5.15am: Stop for short rest at Bukit Merah R&R
4. 5.20 am:Continue drive
5. 7.00-8.00am: Stop at gurun R&R for breakfast and rest
6. 8.15am: Continue drive ti Bukit Kayu Hitam
7. 9.45-10.45am: Arrive at BKT and go true immigration Malaysia and Thailand
8. 11.00am: Depart for Hatyai
9. 11.45am: Arrive at Hotel and check in
10.12.00-7.00pm: Free and easy
11.7.00-8.30pm: Dinner on your own

Day2:Saturday 6.6.2009
1.7.00-9.00am:Breakfast at hotel
2.9.00am-12.30pm: Tour Start
3.12.30-1.30pm: Lunch at Songkla
4.2.00-5.30pm: Tour Resume.
5.6.00-7.30pm: Return to hotel free and easy
6.7.30-9.00pm: Group Dinner.
