Bro and sis, just want to get some advice from you. My rear left cluster light signal is out. Basically a few of the led bulbs fused or burnt. But the brakelight and rear light is okay. The replacement is nearly rm800. This is my 2nd time in less than 4 years. A bit too much for a beemer. Is there anyway I can repair the signal light without buying a new set? Tks for any advice given and happy new year.

Nope. LCI taillights are sealed, unless you know how to pry it open, desolder the LED, solder back and somehow glue it back into one piece (and must glue nicely so water wont go in). In short, nope. If you want cheaper option, go with OEM taiwan LCI taillights replica, they're cheaper.

bash do have the old lamp.. A bit of experiment to open it up for check and repair.

the mechanic says "chamge" and it cost RM800 at the local spare part (may be genuine) and more than RM1k at bmw. anyway thanks for the info. will try the solder tactic.

I was informed that the E9x series connector to the rear lights behind tend to get damaged easily which causes the lights to short out.

My current rear lights on the LCI E90, the bit that is actually attached to the boot lid, currently goes on and off. I got friends telling me it is faulty and when I reach home to check it works fine. Sometimes when it goes out, I just knock the lights and it comes on again. So when I brought it to the mechanic to have a look, he mentioned that the light connectors are normally the faulty party.
