Service light indicator

Hi all,HOw to check if my service light indicator (LCD) is working properly and if there is any DIY fix to it if faulty ?I have used the car for more than 5000km now , but the service light indicator only drop or off 2 lights ....is there any batteries in the SI board need replacing like my previous E30 ?BTW, how to DIY reset the service light indicator ?Also, how do i know if my a/c microfilter need servicing or replacement ?

If the light drop..it should be working.

When you put your aircond Blower at full blast but no air is coming out.

I had followed the service light indicator and mark the millage till the warning service came out its around 10000KM, its up to you to do it at 5K or 10K the more the better for your car. I think there is a thread on service light indicator DIY but I remembered its for e30, can't remember is there for 5series or not, check it out at DIY section.

After dropping 2 levels,the service light indicator stay there even after 2 oil change service ......

Something must be wrong ............
