Screeching brakes..

Dudes,my e46 front brakes is giving an irritating screech when I depress the last 5% of the braking power especially when Im parking and in jammed traffic... noise just came a day ago. Wat u think?.... is it small matter that will resolve itself.. or something to take to the mech now... no dashboard lights to indicate anything wrong so far.Appreciate comments.Dave

happens to me sometimes too sounds like a lorry braking...

jam brake until ABS kick in and no sound anymore...

Checked ur pads n rotors condition??

Go to a clear empty straight road..... do a few hard brakes (before abs kicks in).... smetimes mayb due to brake pads 'hardened' hence such occurence....

Otherwise, consult ur preferred workshop for better advice...
