My 08 525i hood insulator is sagging. Any ideas how to fix it short of changing to a new piece? New piece price quoted was RM523.00 by Auto Bavaria and Bomin Auto.

that one kenot fix lah bro.unless maybe if you DIY by cutting a slit on the backside and slipping in a cardboard or something stiff.but this cud be a fire hazard coz normally the insulator is also a fire retardent material.best to cough up the dough and change new.

Found something else. Autocraft silent coat damper and absorbers... cost RM480.00.

Is this done at EA Autoworks? Saw a E60 going through that the other day. Is the insulation better than the stock one?

Google for Howie EA Autoworks. He's in Taman Esplanade, Bukit Jalil
