RPi Ram Air Intake Scoop

Since there's no feedback on the airscoop, i've ordered it. Reach my place in 7 days. It's Cyba and it cost USD41 including shipping. Picture attached for you guys to see the quality. Not bad at all. Most of the airscoop will cost more then that. But the shape and size is about the same.

Will install it and see what's the outcome.

Astronyu: Ya bro, because it's darn cheap, so i give it a try. It's not actually a plug and plug, but almost, need to trim the side little bit, but it's an easy job. All use back oem screw. As for E90 LCI, you only need one piece, because there's only one intake going in to the filter box, the other one is just a dummy. Install a pair just to make it look nicer. Give me a few days to really try it out, and i'll post some feedback soon. Cheers!

Ok bros! I can feel much smoother car when accelerate. When long drive in town area, the performance stays. Last time if long drive in town area, the car feels a bit sluggish. I got the K&N filter installed too. Verdict is, for USD41. Hell yeah. Worth it. There's some states vendor selling it at USD60-USD100 a piece. Then that is not advisable.

I check and for E60 RPI intake scoop version 3 is around $100. Lol. Actually I was thinking of the AFE stage 2 CAI kit too.

My opinion if the RPI scoop is USD 100, then it's not really worth the money. You can go ahead and get the AFE CAI kit better. Or maybe some bmw performance type kit. It got looks and style. But now i'm really itchy about getting SC for my car. Any advice?

my 2 cents worth of advice...get a bigger cc car...no replacement for displacement :vroam:

then if still itchy, can sc it..more hp+torque will come out from a bigger cc car when sc'ed

SilverBullet : Ya man, SC is the way. BMW just introduce a powerkit for 320D for RM6k+. And increase hp to 200++. That is really worth the money, from now i've been quoted USD7k for a state 2 SC kit and hp increase to 230 for a 4 cylinder 320i. One thing i'm worry is about the gearbox.

Thanks boss SC too expensive for people like me and even if I sell my ass every night also cannot afford, lol. I think the scoop for E60 is over priced because it's just a piece of metal and they want to sell $100!

Is yours AFE stage 2? You mean the kit comes with the scoop originally? If that's the case I think it's a really good buy Btw, any difference or review perhaps?

it looks more organized and tidy than my previous BMS DCI. also, this is a dry filter, not as much air intake as the BMW oiled filter. but still good.
