UK cars are usually loaded with optional items.. which is a good thing. Besides, if you're itchy for a stickshift E92 M3, it's gotta be UK spec.

Hmm germany and UK are pretty close geographically and they have the same weather. If not mistaken most UK specs are from German factory. Does this mean all the CBU units are bad and incompatible with our weather?

Actually I don't really know tbh, but most people advise to avoid the uk spec? Perhaps something to do with the incompatible materials used there vs our hot humid climate here?

my take is with EDC=more electronics....so gonna keep it simple......no EDC, so later can change if required.... :)

no EDC, and no DCT.. stickshift!! then we ask ramsing for the ESS blower

Hello everybody. I'm new here.

I'm gonna buy a e92 m3 as well. Well, my problems are similar... I see all this cars with low mileage etc from the recond dealers...I can tell from common sense that most are clocked.
I am confused now, on where to buy my m3. I don't wanna be in a situation where I will be getting a lot of problems with the car in the future. I want to know the experience from other e92 m3 owners here ( the one who bought a recond unit if possibe). Anyone with any insight about this, enlighten me.

Are these "UK specs recond m3s" reliable?

AFAIK, recond cars won't have any service records from the previous country, this is my main concern.

One more thing, Can this car be a long term car in your opinion? I plan to use it for a long time. I seldom drive tho, I average at about 10k mileage or less a year. For me, as long as it's well maintained by the previous foreign owner, it will be fine for long term.

It is really my dream car... I'm so grateful that I am getting it. But my problem is on getting a reliable one.

Thank you for your time people.
