Reprogramming of Lock/Unlock features

I sent my car for a complete diagnostics, change bumper etc & repaint, and when it came back, few things have changed (the shop said he reprogrammed):Before: No signal light blink when unlock, only cabin light lit up - After: blink twice when unlocking - LIKEBefore: when i press lock, if one of the door arent closed properly, it will still lock, but no light - After: the light blink anyway, even if one door not closed. - DISLIKE coz now i wont know from the light, if a door is not properly closed. Had a case where i left the car with one door not properly close, overnight!Before: Used to be able to open the trunk (by pressing remote) any time, even when locked - After: need to unlock before able to open trunk - DISLIKE, need to press twice to open trunk to keep my groceries.Before: no autolock - After: now auto lock when pass 30km/h - LIKEBefore: pressing unlock will unlock all doors. After: Pressing once will only unlock driver's door, twice will unlock all - LIKE1. Out of curiousity, juz to be sure that none of my hardware has been changed, can all of the things i mentioned above be changed, with only programming? (no hardware change involved)2. If yes, How do i do the change/reprogram DIY style? i have the cable for OBDII that got from Group buy before, hehe, any hint? I wish to change the things that i dislike.

1. Yes...no hardware change required. Just reprogramming.

2. Use BMW Scanner 1.4.0 to do programming using the cable that you already have.

yes, you can re-code using the PA Soft Scanner 1.40. at ZKE5 module.

Can i play around with it, i meant, would i be damaging anything if i play around with the setting (check & uncheck as i like)? haha...

p/s: now i know it s locked at 28km/h, not 30km/h as i think.. haha

For the ZKE, it quite safe to check and check the function.

but first take a screen shot so that you can revert back to the setting that you start with.

As for me, I check or uncheck one function at a time and compare the changes. If I like the change
I will go to the "next" function.

I prefer the acoustic sound and side lamp on when I lock but no sound when I unlock.

Actually I prefer the original setting of no blink and unlock - due to security reasons. You wouldn't want a potential assailant finding out where your car is and when it gets unlocked....my personal pref anyway lah

My thinking is about security too but completely different mindset. If you live in a landed house, if a thief broke in your house and took the key, I'll hear the car unlocks.

Sorry bro, so far haven't come across these functions yet.
Anyway I have aftermarket alarm fitted so those acoustic features don't seem to show any difference whether they're checked or unchecked.
I set autolock at 4km/h.
