Wondering guys does removing the center cat converter and or muffler help inc power or improve fuel consumption.I did this on my Alfa 168 and the response, power & fuel consumption improved. I suspect it would too on the 525i, as cats converters and usually restrictive in flow..Input appreciated..:)

i have taken out mine as will but mine is m43 318 .. so far so good , the car feel more smoother ,consumtion better..
jsen is having m50b25 engine , he remove it also ...

vincent, care to share whether you experienced any drop in low-end torque after you remove the cat? Heard may people saying that but have yet to hear from ppl whom have first-hand experience like yourself.

wah, all i remember is my car got smoother untill now , some of my fren tht drove my car before say my car got more power than last time when i got my car ?
anyway what u can do is , go to the ekzos shop take the converter out then bypass with/without the centre bullet box , then drive for a week or so then you see the diffrence ......
i suggest tht dont put any bullet first try and see first wether you like it or not .....
normally those ekxos man will say this .
'mesti letak satu bullet selepas potong cat converter sebab kereta auto "

some say the car feels no diffrence , some say very power after taking out , so i dicided to try it out lor
for me is car went smother , fc better ....thrn i trow away my cat already

good luck

So if i remove my centre box, there'll be less restrictive flow?and yeah..wad bout fuel consumption wise?

The More air flow flows the faster the fuel drain & the faster we visited Shell,Esso,Petronas....aint it gonna be noisy??

hahaha too technical for me , all i feel is tht my car is running at 21cents per km now, last time before the price hike i can go around 17 to 18 cents per km ,
for e46 i really dont know >
