Hi I recently tinted my glass/windshiled, and the rain sensor is removed to do that, now I need help those who has got the rain sensor, how do you fix back the rain sensor to the windshield mirror? I saw some kind of silicone double sided tape on the sensor after removed, where can I find similar tape? Also, will the sensor still working with the tinted glass layer? Thanks. Rgds, Zank

Bro, position the wiper function controller to the auto position and spray some water towards the sensor area and check ur wiper moving or not. I dont get it why u need to dismantle it coz i did my tint w/o removing it. U should get the tint shop to sort it out for u lar.

actually the windshield changed before to a Non-Rain Sensor glass, and the sensor was previously sticked on with some sort of adhesive/Silicone tape, and now it is removed for the tint, and need to stick it back. I understand the original windshield comes with the sensor/slot for the purpose meaning tinting will not require to remove the sensor. Now I afraid the sensor might not work properly anymore with a layer of the tint. Not sure anyone has same experience before.

latest update, I stick back the sensor onto the windshield, even with the tint on, I am lucky the sensor still working, it has to be using the same adhensive (transparent silicone type), so, lesson learn avoid using Non-OEM rain sensor type windshield when you have rain sensor. Maybe the previous owner did not buy the insurance so to save cost he just changed to normal windshield. Thanks.
