HiNewbie here but I just want to ask a few simple questionsMy car apparently has a small scratch (I mean really small, 1mm wide and 3mm long) on the top hood, I have noticed that there is rust forming there and as such I want to repair this problem before it gets any worst. I'm considering getting the whole car painted as someone accidentally crashed into my back and I want to repair the scratches. So my questions are as follows:-1) Will painting my car fix my problems with the rust or do I need to do something different?2) I want to get my car repainted and I've found that doing it in an oven is the best policy, do you guys have any recommended places? Preferably in the Klang Valley. If you know any other threads where I could find out info please let me know. Thanks :)

get hold some polish & do a light polish to remove the rust, if it is not built too much yet......
clean it with ipa(isoprophy alcohol) or light thinner and rinse off

u got nail varnish? dip a tooth pick ....small amount fill it up the gap...alternatively...if u have spray can of similar paint..do like wise

why give up whole garden for 1 stock of flower

I am more concern of how u do yr usual wash.........if it is done by road side

Less is more

Thanks for the info, though I still think I should get my car painted.
I have some scratches that need to be taken care off anyway

Hi, that's basically what's wrong with my car. There's the paint that needs to be repaired as well as some of the inner cloth that needs to be redone. I've checked some places and the paint job and repair of the exterior will cost from RM4200 to RM2400, interior is RM1600

Hehe.. For me, just spray 2 bumpers enough d and no hurry coz bumper won't rust. :4:

wow

bro thats a lot of cash involve le

Like what Astro boy suggest...spray 2 bumper and get yr painter to do a touch up rest of the rusty parts. (otherwise - get some extra paint, i will help u to touch up.

almost all older bimmers (UDM) SDP)....face this issue.....roof lining fall....skyfall.........after casino royale....I know the former staff of Lucky interior, he can do mine for 400, and top up a bit for the side wrap as well.....

Bro....chinese proverbs say
a penny saves a penny earn.....

dont fall into overspent & leave some for your new Beemers (UDM, SDP, BMW) to come

RUst can be clean by thinner or polish ....then the same way I touch up for
stone chipped or paint scrap off (pic before)

Well what I'm currently thinking is getting the interior fixed up then getting the front and back bumpers fixed. Have a friend who might be able to show me a good place to fix the interior.
Thanks, plus according to you it looks like I might be getting another BMW too haha
