What started out as an Electric Blue '03 Cooper S, running 17" BBS RK's is now getting a make over. It was feeling a little bit dated so I thought a refresh would be good. This is what it looked like before. It's a bone stock daily driver with some decals. The union jack on the roof was done by MotorsportPlayground.

So then Project "Kermit" begins. I chose to go with the Lamborghini green "Verde Ithaca", hence why "Kermit". *laughs*So off it went to the paint shop...

I was a bit skeptical when I first saw it with the color. It didn't really look good. I went home thinking, what have I done! But it grew on me after I had a few other things done.

So far, this is what that has been done. I had all the roof and chrome bits blacked out. A JCW front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts were fitted.

Door handles, the badges will have to be blacked out as well. I was supposed to fit the carbon fiber door handles, gas cap and head light surrounds but right now, looks like many of the parts so not fit well so I am not taking the risk. Might as well black everything out first and see what fits over it later.

The Cooper S grills have been blacked out too, leaving the S chrome to stand out. Will be getting some black out side signals and LED's to compliment it.

The rims have been powder coated black. I took the liberty of spraying the calipers bright red as well.

Joey moded the face lifted lights. It's not complete yet, I want to black out the round bit surrounding the projector ballast at the top as well.

Face lifted the tail lights as well with a twist, they are LED's. Will have to black out that chrome surrounding bit too... https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1JUq_UQG2VU/Tkk8EiUuk6I/AAAAAAAANUw/se8S128xJB4/s640/iPhone%2525204%252520111%252520%25255B800x600%25255D.jpgReplaced the third brake light with a blacked out one. It runs LED's now too and they are super bright.https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-jsCBpybg-qw/Tkk62GhjQgI/AAAAAAAANUU/4bzjqUkcONM/s640/iPhone%2525204%252520109%252520%25255B800x600%25255D.jpghttps://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qnuz_Uvmru4/Tkk8FJ11-cI/AAAAAAAANVI/scoikL9Yt4I/s640/iPhone%2525204%252520115%252520%25255B800x600%25255D.jpgSo far I think it's coming along pretty nicely. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-lqMkzWkiVjU/Tkk619BTMgI/AAAAAAAANUE/COXCU3VZP7g/s640/iPhone%2525204%252520106%252520%25255B800x600%25255D.jpgAny other suggestions?more pictures here.

I've sprayed it bright red already for some contrast. ;) Thank you for the suggestion!

Green isn't my fav color to be honest... but after looking at what you've done to your ride, it kinda grows :)

Nice! :top: Looks very good now. I'm sure your Mini will definitely stand out compared to the others now.

The Mini badges have been sprayed black! Unfortunately, because they were old, they cracked! 0_0'

I've got some spares lying around but they have the 'Carbon Fiber' look. I might sand these down and spray them black to replace the worn out ones.

The head light surround has been color coded black, including the round HID projector surround.

Usually, when Mini owners want to black out the chrome beltline (the chrome strip that runs around the car right where the windows transition into the body panels), they use a vinyl sticker method. There are kits sold out there which offers a black film that covers the stock chrome trim. The problem with this is that with frequent amount of car washes added on top of our weather situation, they might peel off. So instead, I just painted the whole beltline. =P

why not you make a modern version of mr bean's car... colour is there. pad lock? hehehehe

Hahaha, never thought of it but now that you brought it up, it does look a bit like the Mini color from Mr. Bean.

The head lights have been fitted back in and they are looking good! The lower grill has had the insides painted black as well as the fog light surrounds on the bumper.

Here's a cute accessory. My Go-Badge arrived. I got the one that looks like a power button.

The door handles have been blacked out. Then fitted the carbon fiber cover over it. Looks pretty good I must say.
