Hi rockonla,
I don't have the e30 new price in malaysia. But to give you some indication, new car price as published in Asian Auto magazine, Sept 1980, bmw e21
320 RM44,229. For 323i, RM50,058, insurance not included. Perhaps when E30 was introduced in M'sia (1984?), the price of 320i was close to RM50K...

Any finance guru in da house? Would love to know how much would it be in today's ringgit value.

White Nissan Sunny 130Y was 17k in 1985 (WBH 1602); Nissan Sentra now close to 100k.
So I guesstimate back then 60k is worth a whopping 350k now.
Me no finance expert lah, just doing simple multiplication and division maths :4:

350k is about right. the 323i was top-of-the-line 3 series here back then. 328i today is 290k, CBU 335i almost half a million.

well, good to know that i at least am driving a top of the range car.......29 years ago! :)

Yup, about there. I remember keeping my dad's invoice for his '85 323i 2 door (150hp), baltic blue, BCE6766 was around $63k, invoice from BMW Concessionaires

Don't know much about the price last time, but i had one few years back which cost me around rm13k. It was such a nice car to have around. The only thing was there were alot of maintenance. Eventually sold it off for the price i bought. Damn i missed it.

Loved the power and the car's rigidity. BMW and its legacy..

It was RM110k in 1992 for a manual E30 318i sedan. Company car.

In today's money, thats worth abt RM241k, based on 4% annual inflation. Coincidentally, thats abt the expected price of the soon to be released F30 320i.
