I am in the market for a Pressure Jet Cleaner. What do u guys use and recommend?Kracher vs Bosch vs Black&Decker ?Kracher seems to be very popular. The K2.02 model is portable and retails at under RM400.The K3.97 model has wheels and is about RM750.Available @ Ace Hardware & Jusco.Bosch Aquatak 120i ret6ails at RM699 @ Ace Hardware (out of stock).Ace also had a promo on Black and Decker @ RM 399 ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...425561?v=glance )Any suggestions guys?

i have a Karcher K2.02 which i bought mainly to wash the dirt off some big stones in the garden and also to wash the driveway.

as for cars, it is just to cumbersome to take it in and out (for me we prefer to be neat & store it out of sight) .... to connect the power cables to power source ... to connect other end to water source ... and worst of all, it is damn noisy !!

furthermore, it is best you wash your car using a stream of water ... this way water glides off your car & would have less water spots to wipe off before it dries up.

Had actually thot of getting a high-pressure jet cleaner for my house... but then the thot of connecting the power supply and water hose each time I want to make use of it made me think twice.

Anyway, the place where I stay has very high water pressure. I actually had to turn off half my mains or I might suffer leaking pipes in the future (knowing that the ori pipes that the developer used are not that good).

Flash, opening your tap half do not prevent leak. The only thing affected is the flow. The static pressure is still the same whether your main tap is half way open or fully open.. :getyourfactsright:

High pressure jet is good for washing the under carriage, difficult to get area of your car and oily floor. However, I don't use it to wash my everytime. Only use it when my car get very dirty.. :yes!:

I got the Karcher from the Citibank card point redemption program... Top up with some amount of cash...

Anyway, I seldom used it for washing cars... Now it sits at my mum's laundrette.... hahaha.. Using it to wash carpets....

Me also, getting lazy lately. Pass it to my father. He's using it to clean the drain surrounding the house.

But there is one problem with Karcher ( i don't know about other brand and model), the high preassure hose vibrate and I end up with a leaking hose (friction with rough floor surface)

my mother "bought" back the Karcher K2.02 using her credit card point redemption program also..... i can say that it is quite toublesome to take it out, and need to wait for it to dry before putting it back to store room...... but then it got some benefits too, you can use it to wash the undercarriage of the car, and another thing is that it saves quite a lot of water too.....

but something worries me, will i actually damage my car's paint while using it ah???

I thought i saw HB using Karcher too. But dunno which model that is. Seems to do a pretty good job cleaning all the cars.

I am about to throw away my kacher. First, the seal in the control nozzle went. Next the control valve broke. Last the motor just stopped.

I was told that these 3 things are common problem with kacher and the support stinks.

It seems Kracher has quality issues.

What about other brands?

Black & Decker....anyone tried it?

I know that Bosch very popular?

i can help u to check out .....but why do u need a presure cleaner
do u know flushing down with water is more eefective than PW

the bigger volum of water carry more dirt

cars are carefully washed by hand, using gentle shampoos and slow running water, as opposed to high-pressure water jets and harsh soaps that may damage the paintwork

KC's thanks for the heads up.. i do need it, cos sometimes my car goes over some thick mud/dirt over the site..

let me know... thanks..

anyone has good leads ?:smokin:

I used to be interested in PW some time ago, seeing the glory of pressure water shooting out....POWERful... hv surveyed....asked the HOME FIX guy and he told me that BORSH nowadays are not as good as KARCHER as it is made in CHina /THai while Karcher is made in Germany......

anyway after i get to know the NBD aka KC and his gang... i start to sway off my old thoughts that the car exterior MUST be cleaned with PW....well just at times ..like undercarriage i would agree...
