Power Window Lifter for E46

Anyone has had to replace the power window lifter on their ride? if so, how much did it cost? i just had mine changed at M1 for a ridiculous sum of RM500+!!!!! the person who attended to me by the name of raymond just told me that i had to have the lifter replaced without telling me how much it would cost.....i only got the shock when i went to pay the bill! WTF!

Yes sounds about right. Rear lifter is slightly cheaper than fronts and its ranges from RM450-580 to get the darn thing replaced.

You can look at the bright side and think of it as your contribution in funding the BMW F1 team

I got my front driver lifter replaced (kenot repair wan) for RM480-00 at Benson Auto SS2. Since replacement, it's been working as smooth as a baby's bottom. The rear lifters should be about RM100 less, I think. Further, the cost of part for front window is RM450, so M1 probably charged you RM50-00 for labour, which is about right...

it was the rear left window....423 after 20% discount...labor charges...85! not impressed with tis m-wan!

just to clarify...it was 423+85+4.25=512.25.........i'm just trying to get over the shock, no real biggie, but i would hv appreciated if they had disclosed the cost of it rather than just assume that i could afford it! i cant :cry:

OK, then it's a tad pricey cos rear window supposed to be cheaper. I think what you paid is probably what you can expect from Auto Bavaria and it's disheartening that M1 are charging Auto Bavaria's prices now...

just changed my rear window lifter...cost RM350.. easy to fit..can even do it yourself.
