Hi bro,

u can try at kapar klang shop opposite carrefour, i forget the shop name.. i think the largest rim shop in kapar.

Thanks guys,

I actually went down to Rawang to find my rims. Got a nice set of 18 x 8 all four wheels with tyres for RM3500. Although unheard of Altenzo tyres, they do the job fine for the moment. Should check it out, it was like Rim Heaven.

i read online that rear wheel drive cars are recommended to have wider wheels at the rear, any idea? im running both front and back 225/40

cheers

hey bro, just wondering. since you having a sets of 18inch rims ... do you have any problem on the fender rubbing problem on the rear tyres?
i am getting pretty bad rubbing issue when making turns ...

true recommended. but only for high powered car, to reduce wheel spin. but for everyday road cars like us, easier with square set up. easy to rotate tyres. less over steer during rainy days

Oh cool! I was thinking of slapping on a pair o Nexen N6000 255/35/r18 tyres, damn cheap, 550 per tyre.

AHB,

Did you lower ypu car or stock suspension?

Yeah im having the same issue as you, rubbing of rear right wheels on fender. But ONLY right as my car senget to the right and thats as well because i slammed on a set of H & R lowered springs, lower by 30mm with stock dampers. But so far, no issue on fender rubbing even after lowering on my front wheels and rear left wheel. Means my shocks on rear right is busted.

Im having my coilovers installed soon. Ordered GAB SS suspension, good price at rm3200 +installation. I think by having the ability to set my ride height and damper settings would eliminate the issue of fender rubbing by rear wheels. Or you can try using lower profile tyres ie245/35

Cheers

im on stock springs. but i only get the fender rubbing issue when turning right, which means my left side probably is busted.
if i change it to the H & R springs, dont you think the rubbing issue gonna get worst? i just went to singapore and back with a full load car with lots of stuffs in my car... i cant even go above 90 without having my tyres rubbing agains the fender...

any pot holes or uneven, the rubbing starts ....
any suggestion?

Sounds like the sa,e issues as mine except that you're on stock springs....
Best to change whole suspension kit...

I heard GAB sux... So switching to koni shocks and combining it with my h&r springs... Hokomotor at batu caves are sole distributor for koni's and they're offering complete set of koni shocks + installation rm2950.00. Suggest you give them a call and talk to kenneth.

Cheers

Bro try eibach spring better i use that

where did these wheels come off from, are they from a E46? just asking cause those tires are pretty narrow for a E39, especially a 540.
