So envy u guys lar.... driving big cars and got so much money to mod somemore :D

Bro... at this point, I can say that most of us (Bimmers) are somehow quite well-off compared to the likes of other lower grade brand right??
We just want our baby to look nicer :D

wahlau sai meng mer...

owning a bimmer does not warrant us that we are on a higher level than other so called 'lower grade brand'...

someone who uses cash to buy the so called 'lower grade brand' cars doesn't reflect their status to be less well off than owning a bimmer that is bought using the money from the banks...

so be humble bro...owning a bimmer is not a license to discriminate other road users that is deemed to be driving cars that are 'lower grade brand' thus not well-off...

just IMHO...

you dare to say that.. i wouldn't. But the breyton rims are not bad.. and so does the link BlackE90i provided.. me likeyyy.

Well, just to clear all else 1st, i owned a bimmer cause the bf thinks i should be driving a better car since im looking for a new car.. though it's under my name.. he's paying for it.. soooo, if things dont work out.. well.. i might sell off the car and get E90 instead.. or golf gti.. cause.. im hardly visible in E60.. HAHAHAHAHA. (and cheaaaper too) so im not so well-off.. im just an ordinary person who have an undying love for cars. :)

Modding stuff.. he ain't tipping a single cent cause he thinks it's a waste of money..

by the way, I just came back from a mamak session with a friend who supposingly design and do up my car.. he explained the pros and cons of everything de.

I think I'll opt for fiber cause it's cheap and I can fix anywhere that's broken and PU once broken.. everything comes in a set. Many told me there'll be wave and such for fiber and wont be nice but I trust him cause my friend's car.. he did up the whole supra.. was good, he made sure he level it.. I guess, I'll go the cheap way first and see how later..

and I found the right bodykit I wanted, the one can't help eyeing in KL, it's called LUMMA (I hope I spelt it right)! Yippi ya yay!! Buuut he told me the spotlight is gonna be the killer.. expensive like nobody's business.. and I still can't find the rims I saw but with the help of you guys, it has been great! Gonna keep eyeing on this page. kekekekeke

and rims, he explained to me the same thing.. 19" are fine but tyres are really expensive.. he told me to stay with 18" cause he has a client, did some heavy mods, huge rims.. cons are that the car gets heavier and it's harder to break.. and when it happens.. the disc break will be bent.. so at some point of time.. the disc break did bent.. to change the whole thing.. took him a huge part.. but mana tahu.. he changed brembo brakes.. *speechless*

I'm praying my investments won't go down the drain.. I hope to see some returns by end of the year.. *prays hard*

and my mom said after mod.. im pretty much banned from going home.. she doesnt want attentions.. *sweat*

I have to agree... I kinda felt the pinch there cause I only drive a myvi previously.. a car is still a car.. it'll depreciates with time.. it's not a money making machine..

a car is just a form of transportation.. only the level of comfort it matters..

to make ones car beautiful is one's preference.. though i was told many times not to do anything and drive it as it as as it's already a handsome looking devil..

thule, i hope you're not taken.. my apologies if I offended anyone..

don't get me wrong bro... I don't mean to offend anyone here... maybe I have phrased my sentence wrongly that it sounded discriminating...
So... SORRY if it ever offend anyone here ok??? Sincerely...
I started by driving a Proton Satria and the car has been my best buddy for more than 7 years before changing to Toyota Altis... my point is that we, as human, constantly improving our lives... striving to make it better, to provide shelter for our families, food on the table...
To some extent, all these materials stuff offered by the market today make us feel not content or even dissatisfied... brands like Rolex, Jimmy Choo, BMW... but if we look positively... we will try to lay our hands on the things that we crave for.. in other word, work harder!!

TO some ppl, modding cars is a waste of money.. even my wife doesn't encourage me to do anything on my new car. She said "better give the money to her instead of throwing onto the car :p" my point is... everyone's point of view is different. For me, I want to PIMP MY RIDE! So that I will feel happier behind the wheels... and I think that you feel the same.

Fiber... yes it's good... crack easily but easy to repair... high quality fiber should stand the test of heat and bumpy road. I had my share of experience in fiber bodykit... my altis which I am going to sell soon... has fiber bodykit too :D cheaper alternative compared to PU material.. this one I have to agree with you.

My view on your Lumma bodykit... it's very very nice but remember that this is a wide body kit and so you have to get off set rims... and believe me, your car will only look good with 20" or more sport rims should you get a Lumma kit. Otherwise... it will make your ride somehow look very awkward... and off set rims ain't cheap... easily cost more than 10k... not to mention the tyres... lol

Anyone here own a '08 525 m-sport? Being such a new car, notice quite a number of them for sale. Anything wrong with the latest LCI?

wahh, you guys aa.

i asked the same question and it took like 1 week to get to 3rd page of replies. here so many replies, so soon. just because the post is from a leng lui. no wonder la. :)

for me, my sentiments are the same. except i would go to 19" and don't care about the implications. bodykit, maybe just go for the M style. others to me, not ngam with the e60 looks.

wide body is not my level and it's sooooooo costly.. and personally.. i dont fine the wide body that nice.. i find wide body nicer on a R34. It's just... so jap..

Oh yea... forgot that there's a normal Lumma and Lumma CLR500.... paiseh... lol! WEll, Japanese is Japanese... never compare with Continental cars... that's what most of the forumers here said.

What's the colour of your car again?

Grey is very dull.. that's for sure! That's why I get a white one :D
Go for black or white... but mind you, the cost of spray painting the whole car for BMW will cost somewhere around 5k... make sure you have enough fund for it...

To me, 19" rim will make your car look nicer and attractive on the road... but as u know it, the tyres will cost about 5k for the front and rear. But I'm sure that will not be a problem to you lah...

spray paint.. i got an uncle who does spray paint for mercs.. so he gave me cost price.. akakaka. ;) changing it to pearl white.. that's later of course.

for wheels.. 19" is indeed perfect.. and you're right.. im more concern about the tyres.. and no.. it IS gonna be an issue for me.. cause the bf doesnt like the 19"..

i cant make the car tooo low cause the bf is not so bothered bout port holes.. pfft.. he love cars but he believe that big cars are meant to be solid.. *cha dou*

For once, I agree that the car need not to be too low... coz not only potholes will give you problem but also high bump, uneven roads & super steep parking in most shopping complexes... which are very normal in Malaysia. Once you hear the sound of your car scratching against those stuff, you feel like your heart has dropped out. For me I will change to 19" some time in the near future, so right now I am focusing on the body kit first... which will be Hamann M-Sport.

As for you, I don't think that Lumma bodykit is nice for a girl... it actually looks quite masculine. What I suggest is to add on M-Sport bodykit.. simple and nice enough for a girl to drive. And with M-Sport, 18" sport rims should be nice enough to drive around town. If you want, I can recommend one shop which sell Breyton rims 18" for less than RM5k... as I find out that everywhere I go, they quote me more than RM7k.

FYI, I will keep the front and side skirt.. but I don't have use for the rear diffuser (original), as I am planning to change to quad exhaust. If you want, I can sell it to you at a steal. But first you have to make up your mind! :D

have a nice weekend! :top:

hahaha. thanks! but heh.. i got ppl telling me dont mod 1st.. i gotta wait till next year first.. ;) depends on someone now for some reason :) hahaha
