Pioneer promo

I know the promo has ended but as a guide is the promo worth it? My car still has the original factory cassette player. I was waiting to make sure all the gremlins in my E36 325i was ok b4 touching the stereo. My needs are pretty simple. radio, CD player and USB port for MP3 and new speakers. A friend of mine suggested that I should get good speakers, any suggestions. Thanks

the mp3 shouldn't become your main requirement. Believe me, the quality of the sound not that good.

i believe you want to upgrade from the existing system. it is not only the speaker. treat it as a system. if you have a good speaker but not a good head unit, the output also not that good. to me, find a decent one, don't have to be too expensive. RM5k to RM6K will give you a good quality sound. good luck

Thanks, Strider but RM5-6k is way beyond my budget. Any good budget systems out there?

Say RM1-2k for head unit and speakers.

2k quite a tight budget you got there. you need at least three major items, head unit, speaker and amp. a used head unit, amp and speaker will save you a lot. you need at least 3k to 3.5k for a decent set up.
