Signature And Avatar
Avatars and Signatures are given to make your stay nicer, don't abuse it. All signatures should remain within the rules mentioned below. Failing this could lead to removal of the signatures and avatars without prior notice.

Signatures that are deemed too big. (You will be notified)

Images featuring nudity are not allowed.

Usergroup/rank images aren’t allowed to be used as avatar.

Cannot have anything against any religion whatsoever.

Shouldn't show any type of bad behavior...which includes belittling other forum members etc...

No blatant advertisement of any kind is allowed. BMW Club Malaysia already has display ads to cover the running costs, so don't annoy our members by turning your sig into some sort of fantastic web ad.

Before using someone else's avatar/signature in the forum get permission from the user.

At what size does a signature is deemed too big? Give a reference size, duh!

Yours seems perfect now, TQ. As for reference yours could be it, but as written in the bylaws what we deem is too big we will notify you, dont worry not a warning just a small note to ask that the signature size be reduced. Only after countless notification and still no action, will a warning or an infraction be handed out.

wei pussycat dont pour petrol into fire , who say u cannot have pictures you can but not a 1 to 1 scale of your blardy enginelah...we are not blindlah.

Moderators Law
A Mod's word is the law; don't bother arguing here, their decisions are final. Arguing over decisions or making polls or topics regarding admin/mod decisions will not get a decision overturned, it will however get you banned and your thread deleted.

I do not see anywhere in the Forum rules which equate Committees as Moderators. Hence my posting in da other thread "General Elections 2008 Wishlist". The blatant post deleting in this thread in the name of "Guys enough of fighting" is something which i do not really agree. When the first offensive posting (if it was) started, then the responding person should respond in PM and end it there. It was unnecessary to continue the argument on the thread, which resulted probably in unsavory postings and hence resorted to post deletion. Like one forummer always said, "dun feed the troll".

that's the problem... i make a statement, it's seams like i m arguing...

if there's a size to be made official, then mentioned it in the requirement for signatures.. of which is stated :

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

but, when it's imported from another site, there is no statement nor size regulated for it...or is there so ?

so it means all pictures in the threads should be ' mickey mouse' sizes or thumbnails ?

hmm very long ah this thread, many posts are out of topic also... I suggest, committee of the BMW Club Malaysia, don't get into the mess of being a committee of BMW Club Malaysia Forum lah... just let the moderators (Tom, Betty, etc) handle forum issues (sicknature too big, avatar too offensive, etc). Committees should run the club, not the forum. This forum is just a small, optional part of BMW Club Malaysia.

The Forum belongs to the Club and as committee and guardian of the Club we have to look into this as well so that it will not jeopardise the clubs standing.


This Forum acts as a 'Club House' for BMW Club Malaysia where we receive guest as well but with certain privilege, as such we have to maintain the cleanliness of the 'Club House'.

yes, committees should remain as that, concentrating their full attention for the greater good of the club. If there are not enough moderators, appoint a few more. As it is, Betty Boop and Tom are doing well. But without the intervention of the committees, i feel another 2 moderators will b sufficient.

every club has its own rules and regulations. if forum belongs to the club, the club has the right to control the postings. committee members have total right to guard the interest of the club.

just like any company, is it only the owner's responsibility to take charge and interest of the company? and employees just sit back and let the company rot and die knowing that it's being messed around?

Think of it like committee like board of directors and moderators like security guard la... bod no need to go that low to handle security stuffs... it's best done by security guard. Let the moderators manage the forum. If any thing goes wrong, committee just advise moderators to do their job. If not enough moderators, committee should find more moderators, not volunteer to become one.

If committee also want to go down and do this "rukun tetangga" thinggy... up to them lah. Too much free time now eh? I thot committee busy with agm, etc...
