PDC Problem

Hi guys.My PDC is not working properly after a carwash last Friday. Its keeps giving me the 'danger' alarm whenever I put gear in R. Also when I put gear in D after, the P light button stays on, so as the display until I manually turn it off. All the lines are showing (green, yellow and red). I thought maybe coz theres water in it but after few days still the same. Have you experience this?Also, am thinking of installing a rear camera as the parts are available for F30. Any of you done this?Thanks.

i've been having the same problem as well and on occassions the sensors were pretty slow in giving any warning. Will definitely mention this when taking it in for service.

Perhaps u sprayed the water directly into the sensor during car wash?

Quote from the F30 owner manual:-

"When using high-pressure washers, do not spray the exterior sensors and cameras, e.g., Park Distance Control, for extended periods of time and only from a distance of at least 12 in/ 30 cm."

Conti cars sensors are really slow in detecting.

Mercs, Audi and BMW, at least.

toyotas have the fastest ones around.

Went to my dealer and confirmed its kaput. They will replace with new ones but have to wait for parts from Singapore. Will do it next week together with my TPA and mud flaps.

I asked about the reverse camera and they said will check for part no.

Sorry Dude...off topic a bit, but did you have to wait long for your mud flaps. Which SC u went. can msg me their price?

Bro, mud flaps from ebay lor.. Cost me about RM400 including shipping of 2 weeks. Dunno if thats cheaper or more expensive than buying it thru SC.

Will do bro. Right now its pain in the ^*$ for me to park my car coz I don't have PDC.. always have to go out first and see if I can back up a bit more. Now if theres a rev cam, I don't have to!

Got my car back this morning. Apparently the PDC is just a software problem! Installed TPA and mud flaps. Rev cam.. no news.
