Original Air-cond Compressor Price for E36

People,Need to replace my AC compressor soon. Any idea what is the typical price for an original (NipponDenso i think) compressor for E36 328 1997 and where to get it in KL? Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Some of us swears by Naidu.

He is behind the Shell after the EPF building in Jln Gasing. Try to ask for his diagnostic before changing, he may be able to repair it.

How did u come to deduce that yr AC compressor needs changing soon??

Visited and aircond specialist and a BMW Dealer and both thinks it a good idea to changeout than repair. Aircond still cold but grinding sound can be heard when ever the ac is on. Understand that compressor can be refurbished but depending on the price of a new unit may prefer to change out. How much Naidu sells a brand new compressor? PM their no pls.

Depending on what is the condition, repair vs change is yr preference weighed by $$. Coz if u change, are u going to pay top $$ for a new compressor (circa 1200++ i hear), or do u want to buy a 2nd hand compressor that may also die on ya soon?? Repair is circa 400++ i hear. Pls check and verify with Naidu, and other locations.

Point is, do yr search and weigh in the pros and cons. In the end, it may be just yr wallet doing the decision.

Put in a 507 compressor, new just 5++ only, but need to weld the piping n mody the braket
