afaik .....all M52 come wit Vanos ......

Maybe the halfcut is m50B25 ......

sure got one.. in japan got a lot weird things..

this must a highly tuned engine with the vanos removed and cams set dead..

The japanese claim it was ori e36 328 non-vanos with 5 speed tranmission.

original 2.8 non vanos?? sound more like a original 2.8 vanos mated to a non vanos head to me.

anyway mind sharing where you guys saw the halfcut? if the chop shop can tell you its a original 2.8 non vanos without a blink in the eye, its good to be cautious with them... they should be knowing their engine inside out instead of quoting what the jap dude said..
