Mizhan, your project moving on so nicely that i make it a point to check on updates daily:burnout:

With the generous amount of sound proofing, do we see a car with higher kerb weight compared with original car? But then the NVH levels will be unparalleled.

This project can make M/s BMW AG proud off:wink:

well i suppose it'll weigh about 20kg extra.. but i'm not preparing a track-day car

floor carpet in

that's correct bro, from a late model E30. wanted a carpet with the additional sponge that wasn't available on peices from early models. being an LHD peice means a fair bit of cutting needs to be done.

Bro, maybe you could compile all these pics, since they're really step-by-step, and with an article, submit them to BMW mag or any bimmer mag out there. These are great shots!

fuyoo bro, car haven't been driven yet... but plan for another conversion dah on the go.. why didn't you source a 2.7 from the start rather than refurbishing the current engine?

heh heh.. i'd hate to see that diesel crankshaft go to waste.

anyway, the car was flatbed to an exhaust shop on friday afternoon. i expect them to work on it on monday & tuesday. hopefully ah kit would be ready to receive it by wednesday..

actually it has been driven already, albeit on and off the hoist and towtruck. engine and drivetrain work fine, just that it is hazardous without windshields.
i have been looking high and low for a C2 2.7 halfcut, but no luck these past years. alpina just didn't make enough of them i suppose. so it seems i have to comission the building of one.
