now is time to enjoy the car. i drive it once a week during weekends. if i miss one weekend, then battery will go flat. that's why i invested in a portable/rechargable battery jumper.

I am no expert but I think a couple of week's of not running won't cause a battery to go flat. There might be a current leak.

i can start the car after two weeks left idle if i drove it last for two consecutive days. if it's just a 20km drive once a week, battery won't have sufficient juice to crank after 14 days. but you cud be right, current leaks not uncommon on 28 year old harnesses.

-fm-, now projek cari duit.. altho there's a tempting E21, big bumper E28 and late model E30 coupe that seems to be calling my name

so far i can live with the red car so long as i drive it at least once in 2 weeks. perhaps i'll send it for an electrical tune-up as well when it displays more serious problems. my 4-door E30 just underwent that job last week after i realised its alternator wasn't charging sufficiently. now the previously screwed-up meters work perfectly, power windows work like the motors are brand new, lights much brighter, stereo sounds clearer and most importantly the engine now idles much more smoother due to sufficient and consistent electric current.

There's a pahang royalty owned 850 (840?), being kept at one of the tyre shops at ss21 uptown damansara.

i had the pleasure of driving a few E31's when I was a student in the States. i still like the looks and its sense of presense. 840 is temting as i miss the grunt of my old V8.. but 850 is certainly the ultimate E31. however, if i ever go down the road of restoration again, it won't be an E31 or even E24.. it will be the E9

it is still there, collecting more and more dust..

I kinda like to have those 'batt rechargers?' that the showrooms use. Anyone knows the details of this 'thing' and where could one buy these?

the one i have doesn't really recharge your batt bro.. its just a battery pack to jumpstart your car. a friend got it for me, RM400, made in China.

The battery pack you have sounds more interesting and very much more handy than the battery charger / jump-starter that I have.

getting ready for a saturday get-together..

after a little help from the battery-jumper pack, we were off to Rasta for the mandatory grooming..
