Hi guys,Noticed there isn't much love for the e90 in this forum. I thought I'd take the opportunity to share with you some of my favorite pictures of the e90. Also showcases some of the mod potential the e90 has. Most of the pictures were taken from e90post member Diesel007 (Ryan) from the SoCal crew, a gifted amateur photographer imho. I am definitely a fan of his works. Most of the subject matter is his own sparkling graphite 325i with ACS kit, 20" DPE wheels, retrofit euro xenons and H&R springs.

Wah the M-tech kit looks good man on the E90. Got front shots of Longtans's E90 with Mtechs as well?

The E90 is looking nicer and nicer over time...

:D not that no love for e90 but cant afford.

Any udm will look nice wt bodykit. nice car and community u hv there bro

hmmm....the white e90 doesnt look half tht bad eh...

even the black e90 looks neat...

but nicest was longtrans ride....awesome!!!

Yeah, Longtran is one of our biggest Sifus over at e90post.

He was the first to install the eisenmann quad exhaust, which he did by himself. He is a machinist so he fabricates stuff by himself. He did have problem, though..he couldn't align the quads straight that's why one side is drooping. Also the flow on the other side is not as much as on the factory side so sometimes the car looks funny as one side has more smoke/steam than the other. Hes taking up the problem with the exhaust manufcaturer.

FYI he chucked the front M-tech bumper and went with a Hartge lip. He also retrofit the euro lights (US got lousy amber inserts) and did the tvandnavi2go mod (plays tv, dvd, ps2 through i-drive).

A few months ago, he invented and sold PMB lense which replaces the original angel eyes lens (to change color from OEM yellowish to white (matches headlights) or hyperwhites.

Will post some more pics of his ride, I am a big fan as well.

As requested some more pics of Longtran's E90

 ver hard to keep up with these people. No doubt they are very creative...they arrange a lot of group buys. The source high quality replica stuff and engineer/share/sell cool mods like angel eyes lens and led lighting.

They are a good bunch, one of the reasons I bought my e90. I was researching for 1 year on what car to buy, was looking at W203, Lexus IS, Acura TSX, Infiniti G35 coupe...but I like the vibes of BMW communities best (applies to this forum as well) so I went with the e90.

I was orginally quite happy to leave the car mostly standard, but being in forums make you very itchy to mod lar :beaten:

This is sooooooooooo darn sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! :eek:k:

With the warranty period of the e90s running into their 2nd year (approx. only in relation to the 1st batch of cars) it'll be awhile before the masses get round to pimping their babies......

But man.....that is one sweeet ride!

KL2DC,

It's not that we don't love the E90 here in Malaysia. The perceived lack of enthusiasm for the E90 in Malaysia is probably caused by the fact that there aren't as many E90s in Malaysia as it should be at this point given its horrendous local pricing.

It's really a sad state of affairs. :(
True...on the pricing issue.

I think a lot of folks would also rather jump into a recon/used e60 over a brand new e90 for the same price. But at the same time, price aside...I also don''t think malaysians have fully warmed up to the e90's styling.

popeadrian: Most people are ok with modding their new BMW's as there is a law that states that warranty claims can only be denied if the aftermarket part/accessory is the direct cause of the claim. In other words, the manufacturer/dealer cannot deny a warranty claim on a suspension component because of an aftermarket exhaust system etc. etc.

Actually, some people also mod leased cars with reversible mods like lips, wheels, springs etc. These can be easily taken off during lease returns.

Dude,

errr....in relation to the warranty only being invalidated by 3rd Party aftermarkt products that are the direct cause......that is only the case in the states and in the UK. Not so in M'sia. In this fine multi-racial country of ours, a warranty (depending on the make of the car, so this is a general statement and not specific to any particular make of vehicle) can and usually is invalidated by even the smallest of "add-ons". Take for eg. if one purchases a Honda, where the warranty can be invalidated by the owner changing the rims of their vehicle. In the case of BMW's, the "official distributor" can invalidate the warranty if the car has any product/add-ons that were not originally installed or has been installed by their personnel. Eg. in theory, changing your stock suspension to an M-sport set at an "unauthorised workshop" can invalidate your warranty.

In short, COnsumer Laws work very differently here.

As for the "leasing" issue, that's a "concept" that hasnt quite caught on in M'sia unlike the States where its a bit more common.
