The Golf and A4 are very good car.

It's just that the Mini is a much cooler car, and has that wow "chic" factor.

And yes for that, you have to pay a little more!!:top:

I think so too.

The Mini with some nice wide-body parts and Hamann goodies can really win some looks. Especially from the opposite sex.

Im not feeling the new Mini though with the higher and bigger front.

Still liking the older more petite looking Mini's.

I'd agree with kenny on the looks. The new cooper is a little larger in terms of external appearance, but the interior is much better in terms of creature comfort. As for performance, the turbo is something else and the supercharger whining noise (I call it noise) wasn't too appealing to me.

As for handling, having tried both cars (stock Mini Cooper S) on a slalom the difference is quite substantial. The inherent understeer in the older model is no longer apparent in the new model and the new Cooper really has razor sharp handling!! Saw one advertised in THe Star for 179k, still under warranty from AB!! Very tempting! :wink:

MINI Crazy!

What is AB thinking with this pricing strategy? The new 2007 Cooper at RM198K is a big jump from the previous model.I think it's just crazy. I'm in the middle of replacing my 2003 Cooper (already sold to bro in law) with a new cooper but obviously put off by the new price. Furthermore in JB tak ada Mini test drive.WTF.
My wife prefers the Cooper but my heart says at that price I will go for GTI.
What do u think?
