hi to all,My model is 318i E46 year 2000....the questions!!!!1. When the car transmission is sitting at the P position, the indicator at the 1 position is turning on as well??? 2. What actually the button ASC for?? many thanx

Bro..

ASC stands for Automatic Stability Control. It helps your car to be stabled at all time, especially when you are on a sharp cornering. It balance your wheel so as to ensure you are in control of your vehicle.ASC features was for 1999 model.

For year 2000 and above, ASC was replaced by DSC...Dynamic Stability Control, which was a better features I guess. My car..328i also has the ASC and i usually apply it when there is heavy rain...which makes road very slippery. However, when roads are dry...i turned it off.
