Need help!!!!!

guys,my fren recently installed angel eyes on its e46...after a week one side of the ring is not workin...anyone experienced tis b4??btw it is a ccfl angel eyes....please help..thks in advance....

if one side not working, then your inverter sudah koyak lah.

Can be repaired if the inverter is not seal. Usually problem is caused by flash over. The inverter produced a very high voltage to drive the ccfl. If the live wire is very close to the body then it will caused a flash over. Version 2 of the CCFL have an additional insulation cover over the live wire to prevent this type of problem.

oh..thank u so much....btw what is an inverter?? how do u differentiate v1 and v2??n the angel eyes are blinkin when the car is started....will it caused by that??

Your friend is using the old version 2. blink blink when starting the car..

What you ca n do is just change the invertor loh..

version 1 ccfl does not have the grooves on the ccfl rims. Version 2 which is more closer to the original have grooves around the rims of the ccfl.

chester, version 2 already new features? please advise.

btw, chester do sell the ccfl. PM him for more info..

An inverter is a device which convert the 12 VDC voltage to High voltage AC (380VAC or more and high frequency) to drive the CCFL. Think of it as your house flourescent lamp. it need 230 VAC to light up. CCFL need also high frequency to work. If you use 50 HZ the colour of the CCFL would not be very white and bright.

You can install two rings on the high beam. It will look nice also.

extra rims keep for spare or sell to somebody who have broken ccfl.

I know somebody who want to buy the extra rim if you want to sell.Pm me your price.

jarance, yes there is a new updated version of v2 that does not blink when starting the car.

i do think the blinking when starting da car is very unique... i like it very much... (does the blinking do any damage to da ccfl watsoever?? :blink: )

sort of like a prelude to the impending wonder....

ha ha... well thats my opinion
