Guys, need some pro ere to tell me wats the damage like wen u car stuck in a flood wen ur driving.I had my Z4 stuck in a flood juz now wen im on the way home fr NKVE to subang wen u'll need to turn to the federal highway or make a u turn to glenmarie. Now i really dunno how much i need 2 spend. My car now in ultratune.........SIGH!!!!!!!!....

Feel sori when I listen to ur story. How deep d water when ur Z4 stuck in flood? Mayb u need to change all engine oil, g/box oil & axle oil and remove interior carpet or cushion to dry them under d sun. Hope d water not intrude into ur engine. Don't try to start ur car now. Gd Luck!!

sorry to hear, if ur car stalled during engine is running, there is a possibility the water has entered ur engine and exhaust system. had a friends car in similar situation but E36. 2 of the conrod's were bengkok kau kau, had to change all six. air filter damaged. exhaust had water all the way to extractor. broken fan and a faulty cam shaft sensor. and no doubt you will have to change all lubricants as mentioned by SS626A. in short..."overhaul", as you have to open up engine, gearbox and all other moving components to make sure no water has penetrated. really depends on level of water too..gdLuck

Guys 1 more problem...inside my headlight got mist/water.How do i get rid of it?....PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......

Where did the water reach? If it reaches the dash board, a lot of the wiring connector will develop rust in due course, that's where the intermittent error comes and its a nightmare to diagnose. Carpet? Door panel warp? Seat soak with mud? Yukkks....

Is the water raise rapidly, should quickly unplug the battery to prevent short circuit.

Noler not tht high la...interior everthg is ok dry n clean.the headlight i tink s the impact wen i got into the water. Now i wanna get rid of it.Any idea?

Very difficult to remove the water in the head lamps. One method is peel the head lights cover off with heat gun and dry it loo... then hot glue or silicon it back. Before that, try remove the bulb and see if you can access from the bulb lobang to the head light cover or not, stick a screw driver in and wrap it with a piece of cloth.

I still don't understand how u sangkut in the flood if water didn't even reach your door. Engine died meh?

Check out my yellow taxi signature. If water didn't reach the door, that means only half wheel or may be touches the tail pipe but you should have no problem driving through the flood with some luck.. :p

With Japanese car, u should be able to drive even the radiator start to hit the water and tail pipe dip inside the water..

Remember, must not speed up hoping if engine dies, u still have momentum to clear the flood! Most of the time, these cars that speed, will not make it. When u speed, your will be scooping the water up and feed into the air filter inlet.... habis! Once the air filter start to suck water into the throttle and into the engine like straw, water will fill up the cylinder and when piston moves up, conrod will bengkok!!

Astroboy, thr a mitsubishi colt beside me also engine mati.i oni can see abit of his rims.the height i tink around ur yellow taxi word.

Wow! then should have submerge your seat oredi? and door panel must have basah lio.. The car should smell like dead fish now.. :p

Haha...But i can tell u the water din come in at all....i tink bcoz is continental car la...well build!!!haha...

Correct, thats what exactly happened to my friends E36 i mentioned earlier.

astroboy!![/QUOTE], Wow! then should have submerge your seat oredi? and door panel must have basah lio.. The car should smell like dead fish now..

On another note...the water level when it happened to the E36 was already on top of the engine bonet, above the back bumper.. just before the car stalled and all the damage. Surprisingly, inside the car was all dry, not a single drop of water had penetrated, only some water rushed in when opened driver door to come out of the car.. Well i guess BMW has done a good job on this area..:top:
