Need advice on fuel consumption and cooling system.

Need some advice pls.My fuel consumption is higher than before. There's petrol smell when cold start or warm start. I just changed the fuel pump and fuel filter. And the engine temperature is always rising too. Especially if i'm stuck in traffic jam. Could thermostat be the reason?Could these 2 problems related? That is, higher engine temperature consumes more fuel? Anybody had similar problems?Thanks in advance for your advice.Cheers.

As for the petrol smell, you could be having a leaking cold start valve. As suggested by Mizhan, Foo can help you sort out this issue.
