will the vinyl not peel or become discolored or fade under malaysian sun?
what about stone chip damage?will it not get 'torn' when hit?how to repair?
how about washing the car?water seepage under the vinyl?won't it eventually bulge?

rm18k is,to me,crazee to splurge for wardrobe...

heck...can get 6 paintjobs to any color that is fancied...

whether or not the vinyl will peal depends on the installation process. A good and quality workmanship will reduce such possibility. I think it comes with one year warranty against peeling off.

Initially, I was quite concerned whether the vinyl will discolor or fade..but I think if you get a good quality vinyl should be ok. Having said that, nothing last forever..just like normal paint, it will fade too.

I was told that the vinyl would be more chip resistant compared to normal paint. If chip, you may have to do the whole bonnet againt, just like you have to repaint the whole bonnet.

As for washing the car, Darren would apply a specially formulated sealant or protective layer onto the vinyl. The dirt, dust, pollutant would be washed off easily by spraying water on the car. No need shampoo, should not polish or wax. I have seen how you can wash a rim covered with brake dust by spraying water against it. The sealant works very well!

Back to the future..managed to find some photos pre vinyl. this was the prep work by George at Kampung Sg Ara. Has to make sure the panels are all even..all dings and dents to be repaired before the wrap.
