Hi,My car was just done the restoration, gearbox was changed to recond units. After the changing, it changed every gear as wish. So i left to recondition of engine area include changed DME, after few month later. The engine was done, and problem again at the gear was stucked in 3rd gear. For this problem i done:1. changed S.E.M switch2. Gear Selector3. Reuse back the valve body4. Frushing the gearbox5. Change back the valve body, & even change another valve body6. Gearbox filterSo what else you all suspecting? Is anyway to reset the Transmission ECU?For information, my car is E32 with M30B35 engine, the gearbox is 8 pin 4HP-22.

Ermm,... someone told me about the solenoid... I did try up, and it still not work.
About the diagnose and clean up the error. Yes, tried recently. But still no luck on it.
I wondering now is because of the Transmission Control Unit faulty, so anyone here do use this TCU maybe you can test mine. See it work or not.
My TCU part number: 0 260 002 010, 1 216 220.9... Anyone would help?

very unlikely the tcu error.. if it stucked in 3rd gear... it has to be along the pressure line.
valve body controls the pressure.. and solenoid activates the on/off. and of course.. and pressure switch.. these three elements controls the whole sequence of gear change..
i guess the best thing to do is to send it in for a bench test.. EH in kepong does that.. they take out the whole gb and put it on a bench test and real time diagnostic...
seems like u have a blocked valve body... if that is the case.. EH can do a ultrasonic cleaning.. they dun tell you though.
