Hi guy, I have done follow step in order to eliminate vibrate problem that occur on my car. 1. Tyre balancing.2. fit in centric cone.3. on wheel balance the tyre. after I've done above step, the car behave much better BUT only below 110km/h.Starting from 110km/h my car steering start to vibrate, after I accelerate pass 160km/h..the car feel like going over those speed bump and I really can bear with it anymore and can't push the car to higher speed. is this suspension problem? But even "kaput" suspension won't behave like that. What else could be the problem? The vibration doesn't seem like balancing problem anymore becase if it's balancing problem, it won't vibrate such a violent way. Really can't enjoy driving my UDM with this kind of problem.

same thing happen when i try to drive my e30 above 160km/h
maybe if u can find the symptom on ur 34 i'll can do the same at my e30

I suspect it may be tyre problem, it not, maybe the control arm.

Happen to me before. Don't just balance the front tyre get the back wheel balance also and check if your tyre conditon is ok.

AH, the famous e34 shimmy. Try replacing the thrust arm bush. If possible get the 750i or M5 ones.

My e30 also used to get violent vibrations until I went thru months of frustrating analysis, attempts & monetary expenditure but I dunno if it's due to ur same causes.
Now much's been resolved tho' vibrations r still present, it has have becum a murmur. May b just one day I'll get to the bottom of dis mystery

Can just pump out and replace the bush alone right.

Yup, that would help to save some $$$. Some prefer to change the whole arm (if you havent replaced it before). :)

My Mechanic suggest my to pump out and just replace the bush.
Anyway he'll help me to check the rest of the suspension part but according to him, normally when the bush wear out, the car will start t vibrate at high speed.

hello BP nice meeting u at the Sunway tyre shop, hope that you manage to solve your vibration problems. Which workshop do you go to? Are the charges reasonable?

The infamous E34 shimmy is at 80-90kph lah. I think this is something else since he says the car vibrate at 150kph

DanPromote,

Nice to meet you as well.

You E36 look very fierce with Eibach Pro Kit. I wonder how's the ride.

I went to Kepong GoodSpeed. The charge is very reasonable because he's friend of mine and he's driving an E34 as well.

maybe i should find new tyres due to my rear wear the most at inner side.
i'll try to send for check bout the control arm bush later maybe will solved my problem.
the vibration at 160kph is very violent. (i was chasing perdana excecutive that time) :D

I'll try checking my driveline long-shaft, wheel bearings, drive shaft. see if its work for me. Thanx.

" Ahhh!! the 'Quai Siong San' experience that Im having now..I almost called a pastor to exorcised my car."

 :yahoo:  XXX, u so funnylah ....... :yahoo:

I drive E32 not E34 but they always share problem

1.I would try to fit original wheel to confirm hub centric.I use original factory rim.
2.My E32 have vibrate (can feel on my seat not steering) between 30km/h to 50km/h and I know I have issue with center bearing. 60km/h rock solid !
3.I solve my shimmy at 70km/h to 90km/h with control arm, i change it when my wife can't hold the steering anymore and now rock solid!
4. I solve my noisy front and small vibrate (steering) at high speed above 100km/h by change wheel bearing.
5.I have vibration as well on 150km/h to 160km/h but gone after 180km/h and I think my center bearing is the culprit but only once a while drive that speed ......
