well said bro, but a smaller 2nd car is not a rite alternative for everyday-rushing & long distance drive like this.
my fc now always at 8.6km/litre or at average 27cents/km drive. Town drive @ 7.9-8.1km/lit.
so 2nd small car is only good for town drive and to minimise maintenance cost on this UDM.

change battery again.....

after came bck from long vacation, the newly replaced yokohama battery start giving problem again.....

the after 2 week, the battery power totally gone and need jumper cable to suck power from others....

I think there is power leak somewhere. It happened to me also till managed to find the leak after 2 days left at wireman place.
Now no problem even left the car for 1 week without starting and engine will start in 1 crank.

ur rite bro, i'm still thinking of power leaking either from
1. my HU in problem, cd stuck for months already
2. capacitor, the battery back up of my ICE
3. voltage stabilizer (already taken out)
and what more the other possibility bro?

Check your foldable side mirror. Is it still functional without ignition key on?

first of all thank so much bro.
just do it bro, 'even without turning on ignition key, both side mirrors can be folded'
is it shows the power leakage? need ur further advise bro

This means the side mirror motor is all the time on hence drain the battery power. Redo the wiring so that it can only function when ignition key is on.

thanks for the useful tip bro.
is that applicable to any model of bimmers bro.
'cos since the day i bought the car the mirrors are foldable,
even after i took out ignition key.
in fact its become my habit to fold mirrors after took out ignition key (by just using button).

Not sure but it happens to both my E39 & E46. Had to changed battery twice for both cars. Need to start my cars every 2 days.
Now no problem even after 1 week without starting the engine.

my side mirrors function the same way.can be operated with ignition off. so far havent had any problem, and wouldnt hope for one :p

No problem if you drive almost daily but eventually the battery will flat some day

Just to get a better understanding, mine is also the same for the 1st few minute after the key is off. So is the power window and this came standard with the car right?

Gerald,
is that means urs are automatically folded after ignition off? usually i just doit manually.
in my case i've no problem before, with ori BMW battery. that x i was away for almost a month.

No, I have to press the button to fold it. Usually i don't do that unless I park at a narrow road. What I meant to say was, even after I turn the ignition off I still can press the button and get the mirrors folded for the 1st I think about 10 mins. After then, it can't be folded anymore unless I on the key again.

agreed with u bro. ini yg takut ni tiap x outstation 2 minggu kene tukar bateri baru (as per my case now)
that mean MF battery (even new batt) is only good for daily drive. correct me if i'm wrong bro.

I think there is a different bet a car that equipped wt foldable side mirror as standard & those add on foldable side mirror.
In my case both are add on & mod to my cars hence the problem. FYI I add on a switch to fold manually instead of automatic as I dont want to stress the motor every time ignition key is on. So far after redo the wiring no more flat batt & I'm using Century MF battery as well.

thnx initialM/azel & gerald. now at least we'll ve more/less clear picture abut the issue.

Just want to share my experience.. This happen on me when I'm driving Perdana V6 previously. But the different is; it's not side mirror that can be operated, but my auto window, it can operate for the first few minutes after I took out the key. This is the safety features that manufacturer added to the car in case if the car is sinking in the water, so the driver still have time to open the window to escape.
