Meaning of CKD?

Hi...

Just want to know our F30 316i CKD mean fully assembly in Malaysia from whole car or just fit up the door or tyres only.

BMW car are assembled in Kulim are SKD. Semi-Knock down.

All parts are fully imported and assembled in Malaysia. (except tyres)

They used to paint spray the door and body in Shah Alam factory but these process have been phased.

When I check the VIN showing assembled in Regensburg . ... so what are mean by assembled and CKD at malaysia ?

It means it was manufactured in Regensburg and shipped to Malaysia as a kit and when it reaches Malaysia they assemble the kit here and then sell it to you. Think of it like Lego...parts all made elsewhere but you build your Lego here right at home...
