Which car is the engine from?

Factory M42 clutch plate is different from the M40 ones depending on which flywheel design it is using.

m40 single flywheel use the clutch that has built in springs
m42 double flywheel uses the springless clutch as the flywheel itself has a builtin spring mecha

clutch is matched with the flywheel, even if there are some original twinmass ones, some owners change them to single mass, best is to remove it, then go look for a similair one if you are not too sure

the m42 engine from a e36 coupe...

the m40 clutch from luk is a twin mass clutch wit spring..what clutch u guys r using anyway?

Just take your original clutch (for measurement) and get to EXEDY for a triangle plate as what i have done
