I have no doubt that Albert can do a proper job but not the helper, my car brokedown twice due to thier carelessness and giving me more headaches after sent my car there to changed vanos seal.

WP did again. Last week sent my there for service and changed some parts,
Dang!!! Just found out they didnt tighten one screw on the radiator bracket next to expansion tank.Luckily nothing happened this rond like the other time expansion tank burst and car breakdown.

Went to M Speed today to change my ATF. Super fast service by Ah Meng and his boys. Mileage 63k km and condition of ATF is brownish but still looking ok. Total damage RM1400 for a new ZF oil pan and 6L ZF ATF and labour charge. Not sure if the price is ok. Just thought of sharing some info.

Well.....if you really need to know, you can always call up Bavaria Auto and check the prices for the ZF oil pan c/w with filter and ZF AFT (for gearbox ZF6HP19). By the way, did you replace the sealing sleeve (about RM 75.00) as AFT leak is usually from this worn out sealing sleeve. Refer to diagram part no.1.

Thanks Herbert. I just confirm with Ah Meng, he did not replace the sealing sleeve (part no 1) because he says F30s don't have problem with this seal. It's mostly on the E60s that you face this problem. Further he says my cat still very new and no need replace the seal yet.

I have one question though. How do we know if sufficient ATF is being filled in? Ah Meng says when ATF starts dripping out then it's filled woh. I saw there still leftover ATF in the oil pump from the total of 6 liters poured into it. How do we check if we have put in enough ATF?

Didn't realize yours is the F 30. Yes, I was referring to e60 & e90 for the seal sleeve. Unfortunately that is the only way to ensure sufficient AFT i.e. starts dripping.

A quick check with Bavaria Auto. The price for ATF filter and pan $455. ATF fluid $80 per liter or bottle. So total cost of parts is $935. Assuming a markup of 20% would be $1122. The labour cost $278. It's about one hour job with 2 guys. What do you guys think? Personally I think can be slightly cheaper between $1200 to $1300. Bearing in mind that the price of parts quoted by Bavaria Auto is for end user. I am sure there's better discount for regular workshops or customers. The good thing about M Speed is really the speed at which they get things done. Ah Meng and the boys really know what they are doing. For that alone, I don't mind paying a slight premium. This is just my personal opinion based on my first visit there. Will I go back? Yes

I go to M Speed since I got my E90 more than 2 years ago. No complaints. Quick service. Good advise. If certain parts still can use for a few more months, he will say so. Sometimes he help to source for second hand parts for me.
Price wise, I don't really care if sometimes it is a bit high as long as the service is good.

The last time I went to Mspeed, all his staff had left leaving Ah Meng and Albert so service is slow. Also Ah Meng broke my door speakers when he took the door panel off. I never went back after that.

Who is Albert? Ah Meng's partner is John and the last time I was there, his regular staff of 4 were still there.
