Hello sifu's,I have a E90 320, and was wondering whether there will be any additional stresses on the lower control arm & bushings by upgrading my rims to 18 inchers & a change to sports suspensions? Reason i am asking is because I heard that the additional unsprung weight of larger rims & harder suspension will cause undue stress on a the 320's setup. Thanks in advance.

YES, that is true. They'll wear faster, but they won't fail catastrophically because they'll still be within their operating tolerance.

But it hasn't stopped anybody from doing it anyway, if that's what your concerns are. 18's and sports suspension are pretty mild tbh. I'd be more wary of voiding your warranty if it's a new car, although it is unlikely your arms/bushes would give up that soon with only 18s.
