Budget? You mean the car price or the interior restoration?

Well. for the car price...if cash payment I'd say... below RM18K (perhaps slightly more if really cun) but if loan/credit provided then depending on condition, I'm willing to go up to RM35K.

If what you meant was for interior restoration, then depends on how much I have spent for the car price.

things like cracked dash can be rectified by either re'wrapping them @ rm380 or getting a good used one which is in the region of rm500 onwards.

seats and side panels are also easily rectified by either heading to the chopshops or sourcing thm out in the forum...

anything do pop by to friday tt and meet the guys and they will gladly help u out with ur queries..

Hey ayek,

I was there at SS2 a day after the e30 cabrio was sold... price sold was far out of my budget, so I don't feel too bad..

I found mine after a couple of checking out, don't have much time to look around so I took the cheapest one coz the rest that I looked at were also battered anyway... but as you said, the interior is a goner... hope that the masters here can help...

You lucky guy. Btw how's the performance? I've got mine at very much cheaper price but looks like need a lot of tlc+ringgit+time to restore it.

Well, performance wise cannot comment coz I have driven it a few times only...its still getting its hood done n the mecahnism overhauled.

So far ok la.. its an auto...so performance is dulled...esp with the extra weight of cabrio...

When i lived in UK a friend of mine bought a E30 325i manual.... it was one awesome car... acceleration was very rapid!! But had to be careful going round roundabouts... pile on the gas too soon...and the rear end would surely break away...

When I get it back...will let u know more...and try and join a TT session...
