as for the lemforder... there are 2 types.
grade a - original and the most expensive
grade b - medium price ... how to know... you will not see any lemforder marking on it ...but it looks exactly the same and nice finishing as the genuine one.

no worries dude...didn't sound hard at all...

these lemforders, do they come with 750i bushes or these have to be bought separate and mechanic needs to pump and replace them? cause i was thinking if they dont come with special bushes, then i might as well just buy the 750i bushes and replace them whilst using the old trust arm. Does that remotely make sense actually?

there is special tool to remove and pump the bushes in the arms. If you only want to change the bushes, make sure the arm is good. If later you have to change the arm, you would need to change new bushes too coz once it is pumped in, the rubber bush is most like to be torn or damaged.

All, I've seen an E34 with new lower control arm which looks like made of aluminium (shining like e46's). Is that from Lemforder? I would prefer to go back to the one made of iron, never heard of that cracking vs the e46 aluminium ones. I'm shopping for a pair as the current pivot rubber housing already worn. Found these part numbers:

Control arm Left: 31 12 1 139 991
Control arm Right: 31 12 1 139 992

yea...mine is actually aluminium lower arm. i noticed this last year when the car was on the hoist and was actually quite supraise. So the original are steel lower arms? Then where do these aluminium ones come from?.

Anyways, I called Orto Jaya but they say they dont carry lemforder brand. I got a quote for lower arm (no idea what brand) for about RM250 a piece. is that cheap. Waiting for the price of thrust arms now.

By the way, anyone goes to M1 in Segambut? Have been with them for about 15 years.

Hello planta, you mentioned about grade A and B above. The RM two hundred something one (per piece) is of which grade? I wonder if I get grade A from B.H.C Butterworth / Bavarian Auto, or only from AutoBavaria?

Lower arm all don't play play. Get the original Lemforder's that come with the correct packing seals, bolts and stamping marks.

The lower grades looks similar but when installed on your car, they will be shimmy/ wobbling effect etc when u drive. Worse u may find you have alignment settings out of range due to the lousy ball joint manufacturing and design. I know of friends who sudah kena and complain later like hell.

Pls. buy from the reputable BMW stockist. Save you the headache in the long run.

Just wondering, does a bad front lower arm affect front camber settings to split?

commer range in kepong got. Lemforder.

lemforder, sachs, boge now under ZF Friedrichshafen AG

I have little shimmy when driving nearly 200km/h, maybe bcos my wheels are no balanced and got a bit bengkok....
