Dear sifus,Did any of you have any experience in installing a particular type of alarm from Viper which will allow you to use the factory key fob as your remote?I wanted to install this particular alarm system on my E39 (which did not comes with alarm system) so that I can use the factory key fob. My installer had tried installing it for me but after 6 hours ( I was there to see him toiling away), he told me there was some electrical disturbances to the wiring which will interfere into the alarm's operation. In the end, I installed a Viper 2 way alarm system. That funny thing is that this is possible while the other alarm system cannot be used.Anybody have this experience or know why this had happened? Or is it that the installer is not skilled enough? Or I have been conned into getting a more expensive alarm system?Care to share?Cheers.Neoh
