In Malaysia, everything increases non stop and sometimes it's the distributor/dealers wanting to make more. It's just madness and tyres are cheaper in neighboring countries.

Not only that...you have to also pay MR100 each tyre when alloy rims are 'bengkok' and need to be oven pressed, then alignment and cambering-MR150 each tyre!!
It's the way our Malaysian market works. If we grey import tyres ourselves, it would even be cheaper than those dealers which increases price few times a year.
Yup, there's no choice but the sellers, dealers, etc always takes advantage by jacking up the prices. If we compare tyre prices with Singapore/Thailand, we notice Malaysia tyres are so expensive.
